Most behavioural issues can be dealt with in one or two visits.
Most behavioural problems develop due to the relationship between the owner/family and dog. During my home consultation I first sit with you and the family and discuss the history of your dog(s) and the behavioural issues you are having. Once I have a full understanding and picture from your perspective, I then focus on the dog, and its relationship with the family and its environment.
Most behavioural problems stem from the fact that the dog is confused or anxiety has developed. This is usually due to the owners not understanding their dog correctly.
We can inadvertently create triggers that initiate subconscious reactions in our dogs, such as becoming highly strung, overly anxious, overly assertive or submissive behaviour, avoidance behaviour. These states of mind can then contribute to other behavioural problems such as destructive behaviour, incessant barking, aggression, etc
Once I have a full understanding of the situation from the dogs perspective, I then discuss and demonstrate why your dog behaves the way it does, what the triggers are, and the course of action required to modify your dogs behaviour. All clients do see a positive change in their dogs overall demeanour and behaviour during my initial consultation.
Most behavioural problems can be dealt with during the initial consultation. However you receive a 1 hour follow-up visit, to ensure everything is progressing ok, and if not, offer follow-up advice. The follow-up consultation is usually booked during your initial visit, or can be booked as required. There is no time limit as to when you can utilise your follow-up consultation.
You will find that if your dog has a number of behavioural issues, the root cause of the problems are usually all directly related. By focusing on where you maybe going wrong with your relationship with your dog, and re-establishing the correct relationship, you find a number of behavioural issues are also dealt with at the same time.
12 Months Follow-up Support!
With my home consultations, you also receive 12 months support using my client online support system. Due to my busy schedule I may not have time to spend a lengthy period trying to assist by phone. I ask clients to please use the online support system, and I will reply to your enquiry within 24 hours. With the support system you can include file attachments, such as movie files, etc. These files need to be in zip or rar format.

Monday to Friday: 10am to 12:00pm - 2pm to 4:00pm - 6pm to 8:00pm
Saturday: 12pm to 2:00pm - 4pm to 6:00pm
Sunday: client emergencies only
